Approach
Our approach
Aurelian programs are built on named frameworks, not generic soft-skills content. This page sets out the models we use to design, facilitate and evaluate learning.
Guiding principle
Training is only meaningful when it is measured against a fixed standard — so a claim of "transformation" is a number, not an adjective.
01Assessment & Evaluation
CAPE Rubric
Aurelian's proprietary rubric for spoken and presentation performance: Clarity, Accuracy, Pace & Flow, and Engagement. Weightings are adapted to each program.
Day 1 Baseline and Day-N Comparison
Every cohort is scored at the start, at a midpoint and at the end against the same standard.
Continuous Module Checks
Short assessed checkpoints within each module, contributing to a final weighted score.
Portfolio Evidence
Reflections, written samples and recorded self-assessments that document progress over time.
02Learning Architecture
70-20-10 Model
70% application and practice, 20% social and coached learning, 10% structured instruction.
Spaced Repetition & Retrieval Practice
Key content revisited over increasing intervals and recalled actively rather than re-read.
Andragogy, Heutagogy & Pedagogy
Adult-learning, self-determined and student-learning principles matched to each audience.
NACE Career-Readiness Competencies
The eight competencies employers value most, used as the backbone of our employability programs.
03Instructional Design
Activate–Acquire–Apply–Anchor
The four-stage session structure behind every Aurelian session, scaled to program depth.
Sector and Seniority Tiering
Curriculum built by industry and seniority band, from graduate trainees to senior managers.
Blended Delivery Design
Online, classroom and field learning combined within one curriculum.
04Facilitation
A-C-E Call Framework
Anchor, Control, Exit: a repeatable structure for professional voice and client calls.
Simulations, Role-plays and Drills
Realistic practice with structured peer and trainer feedback.
One-to-One Coaching
Individual coaching sessions at defined points in longer programs.
CBT-Informed Coaching
Cognitive-behavioural principles applied to confidence, anxiety and mindset barriers.
The CAPE standard
How we weight assessment
The same four criteria, weighted to suit the goals of each program.
| Program | Clarity | Accuracy | Pace & Flow | Engagement | Additional |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| IWRP (Capsule & Regular) | 20% | 20% | 20% | 20% | Telephonic Conduct 10% + Progress Delta 10% |
| Acing NACE | 25% | 25% | 25% | 25% | — |
